5. Jennifer's Body (2009)
Scary movies are a romantic staple. What can you say? Fear turns us on...humans, right?
However, when choosing the perfect scary movie, there are rules to follow.
One: it's not too twisted. Nothing kills a (lady)boner faster than a human centipede. Unless it doesn't...in which case, you know, more power to you.
Two: it's at least a little bit sexy on its own. You're there for the scare, but you both know there's other reasons to watch a scary movie on date night...no need to do all the heavy lifting yourselves.
Three: it's about teenagers. Teens in movies are scared of serial killers, demons and monsters. Adults in movies are scared of their own mortality and what it means to be a parent. No thanks.
Scream invented the modern genre, but Jennifer's Body is an underrated gem. Bad marketing and Megan Fox controversy combined to give it a bad name on release, but if you give it a chance, you'll find a funny high school horror movie starring Megan Fox at her absolute peak.
